Lin Y.S. Lin Family Education Award 4 x $4,000
Established by the Lin Family, whom place a high value on good education. Awarded to 4 students.

Established in memory of Dorothy F. Mantel.

Michael Alan Kahn Award $3000
Established in recognition of Mike Kahn, a 1972 WHS graduate to honor his passion and dedication to sports.

Must be pursuing a career in sports, whether it be journalism, communications, or law, at an accredited college or university
Carol Beeson Memorial Education Award $2,500
Established in memory and honor of Carol Beeson and her passion for community and education.

Pursuing a degree in Education
Lily Parker Go the Distance Award 2 x $2,500
Established to recognize cross-country athletes who best exemplify the spirit of the sport and the life lessons it teaches. Awarded to1 female and 1 male student.

Participate in the WHS Cross Country program for at least 3 years including senior year

Achieve a cumulative GPA within the top half of the class
Richard M. Glover Award $2,000
Established in memory and honor of Richard M. Glover, whose 12 years of service on the Wyoming City Schools Board of Education led to lasting changes in our District.

Alex Guest Leadership Award $1,000
Established in recognition of Alexandra Bason Guest, WHS Class of 1987, to honor her leadership and kindness to others while representing the spirit of Wyoming. Funding from Andrew Howe Scholarship Fund.

Bernie and Jim Barre “Spirit of Wyoming” Award $1000
Established in recognition of Bernie Barre, WHS Class of ’70, and his brother, Jim Barre, WHS Class of ’72, to honor their ability to extend “arms of friendship” to many while showing camaraderie to all. Funding from Andrew Howe Scholarship Fund.

Chris Payne "Aspiring Artist" Award $1,000
Established in recognition of Chris Payne, WHS Class of 1972, to honor his lifetime artistic talents as an American caricaturist and illustrator. Funding from the Andrew Howe Scholarship Fund.

Deena Deardurff Character Through Athletics Award $1,000
Established in recognition of Deena Deardurff, a 1975 WHS graduate and 1972 Olympic gold medalist. Funding from the Andrew Howe Scholarship Fund.

Ed Pipes ‘71 and Dennis Bell ’69 Award $1,000
Established in recognition of Jonathan Harris ’72 (posthumously) and Jeffrey Harris ’69 to honor their friends Ed Pipes ’71 and Dennis Bell ’69. Both Ed Pipes and Dennis Bell are examples of WHS graduates who achieved further degrees and success in their personal, business and community life. Funding from the Andrew Howe Scholarship Fund.

Fred S. Dewey, Jr. Award 2 x $1,000
Established in memory of Fred S. Dewey, Jr., WHS class of 1932 for his service to his country during WWII. Awarded to1 female and 1 male student.

Judge Rob Lyons Academic, Athletic, and Merit Award $1,000
Established in recognition of Judge Rob Lyons, WHS Class of 1973, to honor his academics and athletic achievements at Wyoming High School. Funding from the Andrew Howe Scholarship Fund.

Student athlete in Top 10% of graduating class

Athletes who participated in multiple sports throughout their high school career, or at least 1 sport for a minimum of 2 years
Kaia Grant Memorial Award $1,000
Established in memory of Kaia Grant, WHS Class of 2005, to honor her legacy of excellence through public service.

Exemplifies commitment in service to others

Be pursuing studies in pre-law, a degree in Criminal Justice, or a field that is focused on service to others

Demonstrate financial need for post-secondary education expenses
Ken Roberts Fellowship Through Athletics Award $1,000
Established in recognition of Ken Roberts, a 1973 WHS graduate who was on the wrestling team. Funding from the Andrew Howe Scholarship Fund.

Must have established deep friendships through participation in WHS sports
Lt. John R. Fox Award $1,000
Established in recognition of Lt. John R. Fox, a 1934 WHS graduate who was awarded the Medal of Honor posthumously for his ultimate sacrifice for his country during WWII. Funding from the Andrew Howe Scholarship Fund.

Scott Stegeman Award $1,000
Established in memory of Scott Stegeman, WHS Class of 1972, to honor his ability to embody resilience and courage in the face of life's challenges. Funding through the Andrew Howe Scholarship Fund.

Steve Streight "Iron Sharpens Iron" Wrestling Award $1,000
Established in recognition of Steve Streight, WHS Class of 1974, to honor his good sportsmanship and desire to improve in every area of life. Funding from the Andrew Howe Scholarship Fund.

Tink Miller "Most Dedicated" Wrestling Award $1,000
Established in honor of Tink Miller, WHS wrestling coach from 1971-75, and his lifelong impact to the wrestling program. Funding from the Andrew Howe Scholarship Fund.

Virginia B. Gridley Education Award $1,000
Established in honor Virginia Gridley and her 23 years of service to the Wyoming School District as a teacher and librarian.

Wyoming Legends of Golf Award 2 x $1,000
Established to recognize and reward young golfers from the Wyoming community who are inspired by past & present Wyoming Legends. Awarded to1 female and 1 male student.

Be a senior enrolled at WHS as of May 1st of their graduating school year

Dorothy Schierenbeck Award $1,000
Established in recognition of Dorothy Schierenbeck, a 1940 WHS graduate, for her significant contributions to WHSAA, Wyoming schools, and the community.

Jon Boss Award $1,000
Established in recognition of Jon Boss, a 1954 WHS graduate, for his many contributions as WHSAA Trustee and to the community.

Sherry Sheffield Award $1000
Established in recognition of Sherry Sheffield, a 1963 WHS graduate, for her many contributions as WHSAA Trustee and to the community.
